Addy had her first real dentist visit yesterday. She went last week, hid in the corner and wouldn't even open her mouth. Since she was so uncooperative, they prescribed her a mild sedative called Midazolam, she was pretty hilarious on it. Sadly, it wore off before they got her in because they were pretty backed up. I guess it didn't help that she spit half of the medicine out . (Although, I don't blame her, it tasted horrible!) She is a little bit outgoing and has a mass temper (hummm don't know where she got that one from) and that kind of came out in the end.
She has been cursed with her father's week enamel so she had a small decay spot. Nothing too major, but we wanted to get it taken care of before it got into anything more. Dr Brown was awesome with her. Surprisingly, she handled the drill fine and said it tickled, she was completely OK until he got out the hook thing (whatever it is called) and checked to make sure everything was out. It was on from there. She did come out of it in the end with 3 balloons and a certificate for an ice cream at Artic Circle, and Dr. Brown only ended up with a small bite, a pretty successful trip I think :P
