Last minute canyon BBQ

Last night we went up the canyon to BBQ at High Mile. Clint made some awesome hamburgers that he was definitely proud of. The weather was perfect, a little windy for a minute, but otherwise awesome! Addy and her little friend Kadence had a blast playing in the water (of course her pants came off right when 1 drop of water hit them). There is a small pond like area just off the river there so they had a small area they could play in. The two of them are very similar, only a month apart in age, same attitude, and even close to the same size. They really seem to get along very well. The only down side, they both have absolutely no fear! It was definitely a great relaxing evening!

I am so glad that we live so close to such an array of different landscapes. How many people really can in one minute be in a gorgeous canyon and the next be in the middle of a desert or a lake.

Life Updated

Things have been crazy!!! After Cierra was born on Feb 16, 2009 We had a blissful and easy 2 day stay in the hospital. Dr Wold allowed me to go home early as did Dr Wise for Cierra. After about a week home and things going, what seemed, very smoothly we had to make an emergency run to the hospital and I was readmitted. I woke Brad up at 2 am and called my mom to watch the girls and we were off. I had started bleeding so heavily that I lost half of my blood.. literally. I had to have 3 more surgeries to try and stop the bleeding. The final one was experimental and Dr Wold wanted to try something before having to possibly do a hysterectomy. They inserted what is called a Baraki Balloon into my uterus to sustain continual pressure in hopes that it would stop my bleeding. This was the first time Dr Wold had ever done this surgery and the first time it had been done at Am Fork Hospital... like I said... experimental! It worked! So here we are finally home and I think I REALLY am starting to get better. Things are great.

Cierra is almost a month old and she is growing like a weed! At her 2 week appointment on March 2nd, she had gained 1 inch and 1 lb 3 oz since birth. I don't even know how much she has even grown since then! She is getting to be sooooo alert! Addy loves her so much, and I am thankful for that... I thought that Addy would have murdered her, but strangely, it has been the exact opposite! Addy is so loving and helpful... its the best (almost too good haha) I am so lucky to have two amazing, beautiful little girls and such a wonderful family!

Still counting down

So, its 6 days until baby Cierra will be here (sooner if she decides) and I am finally starting to get nervous. The biggest thing that makes me nervous is, will Addy like her and be nice to her? The difference between Addy and Cierra will be the exact difference (almost to date.. the 17th would be to date)of age between me and my little sister. Growing up the two of us were the best of friends in some senses. We played very well together and would always back eachother up if our older siblings would pick on us, or even if we just wanted to gang up on them for something we were always there for each other. We got along excluding the hatred I had towards her for being babied by everything. She would get mad at me, bawl and I would get in trouble for nothing just because she was the baby, later I would beat her up. It was kind of a love hate thing... in about high school I think we hated each other... now we are dandy again. So will it take 20+ years for the two of them to get along completely? Scary! Can I really handle that long? Not only the two of them, but maybe having another one after this. Maybe I now understand why my mom is crazy (in the hypothetical sense). Maybe I am just creating anxiety that I don't need to have. Enough of that.

Thurs was the first day that my sis-in-law came into work. She is going to help around here while I am on my "extended vacation" as Steve refers to it (maternity leave). She is doing amazing!!! She caught onto things that other ppl have taken forever to catch onto. That has lifted some anxiety about things at the office.. Thank goodness she is here for me! Not only is it helping her, it is getting my brother off her back about going back to work when she really doesn't want to... so win win.

Well, I believe I want to get a few things done and head home early since I am supposed to be on bed rest. Tata

Aquarium

On Saturday we went to the Living Planet Aquarium with Brad's family. The kids loved it! Hayden and Addy were in love with everything they came across... it's so awesome to watch young ones discover the world they live in!
